The Quest for Flawless Complexion: A Review of CoTZ Face Non-Tinted SPF 40

As a redhead with combination skin, I've always struggled to find the perfect sunscreen that meets my unique needs. In this review, I'll share my experience with CoTZ Face Non-Tinted SPF 40, a mineral-based sunscreen that promised to deliver a flawless complexion.

Initially, I was drawn to this product because of its similarity in consistency to Benefit Porefessional primer. However, as I delved deeper into my skin type and concerns, I realized that this sunscreen wasn't the right fit for me. Despite having an FSA card and stockpiling it, I eventually found out that CoTZ Face Non-Tinted SPF 40 was not providing the level of protection and hydration I needed.

The product's active ingredients include Titanium Dioxide (8%) and Zinc Oxide (3.8%), which provided some level of protection against UV rays. While I didn't burn severely, I did experience hives for a few days after using it. Additionally, as someone with very pale skin, I found that the sunscreen left a noticeable white cast.

As I continued on my skincare journey, I discovered the importance of both UVA and UVB coverage and began to look for sunscreens with higher concentrations of zinc oxide (15%+). My goal was to find a product that wouldn't dry out my skin while still providing adequate protection. Unfortunately, CoTZ Face Non-Tinted SPF 40 didn't quite meet those expectations.

If you're looking for a sunscreen that provides excellent UV protection without compromising on hydration and breathability, I would not recommend CoTZ Face Non-Tinted SPF 40. However, if you have dry or normal skin and are concerned about UVA and UVB protection, this product may be worth considering.
